Meet the GRR Course Directors

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Banning is a third year emergency medicine resident who grew up in Washnington state, south of Seattle. Attended Western Washington University for undergraduate and University of Washington for medical school. She is particularly interested in education in the form of mentorship and specifically helping develop both clinical and leadership skills to help transition students to residency.

 

ronan (1)Sarah Ronan-Bentle, MD

Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine

Dr. Ronan-Bentle is the Career Advisor for Senior Medical Students in the College of Medicine. She is a graduate of University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed residency in the University of Cincinnati's Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Ronan has been an educator throughout here career and is particularly interested in helping senior medical students transition to being successful residents.

Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine

Dr. Bryant is a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati. She runs the third year medical student Emergency Medicine clerkship, and the Intern Report Program for the residency where she focuses on helping build confidence, knowledge, and skills among the interns as they begin their residency. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at NYU-Bellevue Hospital, her MPH and MD at Columbia and completed her Master's in Medical Education here in Cincinnati. She has worked as an emergency physician in Ghana and Guatemala (and is soon to add another G country to that list).

Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine

Dr Goel is in her first year as a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati. She is a Cincinnati native, and attended undergrad, medical school, and residency all in Cincinnati. Her academic interests include education of medical students and early resident training. She also works with the Medical Student Scholars program with the College of Medicine to help develop medical student skills in a more longitudinal fashion. Outside of medicine she enjoys riding horses and spending time with her husband and her young son.

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Golden is a third year emergency medicine resident who grew up around Chicago, IL. He attended Purdue University for his undergraduate education and the University of Chicago for medical school. His academic interests include medical student education, specifically in the areas of curriculum development and feedback and assessment.

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Ham is a third year emergency medicine resident who hails from Fort Worth, Texas. In prior lives before coming to Cincinnati he studied anthropology, learned martial arts while living in Japan, and rode for many sunsets on his motorcycle. His interests now include ultrasound, critical care, and medical education.

Shaun Harty, MD

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Harty is a third year emergency medicine resident.  He grew up in the Chicago suburbs and went to the University of Iowa for his undergraduate education and to the University of Illinois at Chicago for medical school.  His academic interests include all things ultrasonography and clinical education.

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Klaszky is a third year emergency medicine resident who was born in New Jersey, and completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at Rutgers University. He then completed medical school at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA before starting his residency here in Cincinnati. His interests include critical care and clinical education, specifically in bedside clinical teaching as well as ultrasonography.

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Nagle is a third year EM resident. He grew up in Southern Illinois and went to Notre Dame for undergrad. Prior to medical school at the University of Michigan, he was a high school teacher in the Mississippi Delta with Teach for America. He is looking forward to teaching and helping transition the students to become amazing interns!
