The Research Study

East Liverpool Pilot Study, 2011

A pilot study of environmental exposure to manganese (Mn), lead (Pb), and chromium (Cr) was conducted in 2011 on November 4th and 5th at the Kent State East Liverpool campus. The goal of the study was to determine the extent of metal exposure in children living in East Liverpool and the surrounding area.

A questionnaire was used to evaluate a community meeting presentation, fact sheet information, and preference for the images used to convey blood metals data.  Click here to view the questionnaire.
