Department of

Dermatology

Clinical Research

The Clinical Trials Unit at the University of Cincinnati Department of Dermatology provides state-of-the-art, high-quality clinical trials services across a range of dermatologic conditions.

We have outstanding resources, including a dedicated staff (including three MDs, a nurse coordinator and a PhD site manager), dedicated clinical trials office for contracts/budgeting/recruitment, an investigational pharmacy, and services for specimen collection, storage and processing.

Furthermore, unlike some other university trial units, we are able to use independent institutional review boards (IRBs). Board-certified dermatologists, residents, and nurse practitioners (25 providers) provide team-based care based at the only academic center in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky metro area, serving a population of over 2 million people.

Our dermatologists have special expertise in acne, rosacea, psoriasis, warts, cutaneous infections, onychomycosis, eczema, pigmentary disorders, hidradenitis suppurativa, actinic keratosis, seborrheic keratosis, and non-metastatic skin cancer. We offer phase-2, 3 and 4 trial services for both topical and systemic medications, including IV medications.
