Alumni Affairs

Ways to Get Involved

Helping Our Students Travel (HOST)

The HOST Program, coordinated by the office of alumni affairs, connects fourth-year medical students who are interviewing for the next stage of their training with alumni volunteers.

Alumni volunteers provide students with a place to stay during the interview process, as well as advice about the community and, if possible, the prospective medical center in which they are interviewing. In return, scholars may offer insight and updates regarding the UC College of Medicine. The HOST program is available in the 10 cities our students interview the most—Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Seattle, Houston, Denver, Ann Arbor, Raleigh-Durham and New York.

We would like to invite you to participate in the HOST Program. For more information, contact Tiffany Marsh, program director, at comalum@uc.edu or 513-558-6316. The HOST program will match medical alumni with fourth-year students traveling for their residency interviews in the months of October, November, December and January.

Alumni Connection

Alumni Connection is your opportunity to help current medial students learn more about a particular specialty. While the students gain valuable knowledge of various specialties through rotations, your insight as an alumnus or alumna and practicing physician is a point of view rotations do not provide.

We are looking for alumni who are willing to allow current medical students to call, email or visit to discuss what life in your specialty is like. Alumni Connection is not a job search tool, but a way for medical students to get a better feel for a specialty.

If you are interested in allowing current medical students to contact you, contact us at comalum@uc.edu or 513-558-6316.

Alumni Executive Council

The College of Medicine Executive Council serves as an advisory board to direct the work of the Medical Alumni Association. The Medical Alumni Association exists to further the interests of the Medical Alumni of the University of Cincinnati, the College of Medicine of the University of Cincinnati, and of the university itself.
