Residency Assignments/Results

 

UC’s graduating medical students got a peek into their future during the 2013 Match Day celebration.

Of the 183 graduating medical students, 48 will remain in the Tristate for their primary residency positions, with 25 students matching at University of Cincinnati Medical Center and seven at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Two students will go to Jewish Hospital, 12 to Christ Hospital and one to Good Samaritan Hospital.

Of the 183 students, 42 percent will remain in Ohio for their primary residencies.

The most popular residency specialty for UC students was internal medicine, followed by emergency medicine.

According to the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP), the organization responsible for keeping the match organized and fair, 2013 saw the greatest number of matches ever.
