Interview Day at UC

We are looking forward to your visit and would like to assist you in planning your trip to Cincinnati. The following information will help coordinate your schedule.

Interview Day Schedule

Applicants have different check-in times. Due to the nature of the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) process, you should plan on the day ending at 5 p.m.

The MMI is a series of approximately six to eight interview “stations” or encounters that last 8-10 minutes and are centered on a scenario. Each station has its own interviewer (rater); and consequently, each student is evaluated by approximately six to eight different individuals. The station scenarios do not test or assess scientific knowledge but instead focus on issues such as communication, ethics, critical thinking, teamwork and opinions on health care issues.

Admissions Program

While on campus, you will receive lunch, meet with faculty and hear presentations on admissions and financial aid.  Also, you will tour the medical center with Year II medical students.

Travel Information

• Driving Directions & Parking

If you are traveling by plane, the airport is in Northern Kentucky; you should allow a minimum of two hours to travel to the College of Medicine. Allow yourself plenty of time so you will not be rushed. There are two transportation services from the airport to the College of Medicine: Airport Executive Shuttle – (800) 990-8841, and AAA Yellow cab – (513) 821-8294.

Overnight Accommodations

The UC medical campus has three hotels within walking distance of the Medical Sciences Building:

• The Kingsgate Marriott Conference Center at the University of Cincinnati 
• The Holmes on Eden (Located in Holmes Hospital)
• Hampton Inn
