Accreditation/RRC Site Visit Procedure   

The program will receive a notification letter from the RRC indicating when the date of the Accreditation/RRC Site Visit. This usually arrives about 120 to 90 days prior the date of the visit.

The program will be notified of who the Site Reviewer is and timeframe (usually about 4 hours). Within 2 to 3 weeks of receiving the notification, the Site Reviewer will forward an itinerary, documents they will want to review, and when and how many copies of the PIF need to be sent to them.

Once the program is aware of the itinerary, the program will need to contact Dr. Filak’s office to set up a time for the Site Reviewer to meet with him.

The program will need to submit their completed PIF to the GME Office for review and Dr. Filak's (the DIO's) signature 8 weeks prior to when the PIF needs to be sent to the Site Reviewer.
