Please take special note that most of our programs have a Department Orientation as well. Please contact your program directly for information.
University Hospital Orientation will include a "Welcome" given by Andrew Filak, Jr. MD, the Associate Chief of Staff for GME. Dr. Filak will touch upon the "Life of a Resident" and "What to Expect." You will have safety training, learn of the many benefits UC Health has to offer, and meet the Office of GME staff who are here to assist you throughout your residency or fellowship.
There is a Communication Skills Conference given by Eric Warm, MD, one of the Associate Program Directors for Internal Medicine. Dr. Warm will guide you through the importance of communciation between the patient, patient's family, and the physician. He will also speak about "End of Life" issues.
