Connections Dual Admissions Program

About the Program

The Connections Program, a dual admissions baccalaureate/MD program, allows high school seniors to apply for and be accepted to both the University of Cincinnati undergraduate college and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine simultaneously.

The program attracts highly motivated, intellectually curious, and academically talented students who are serious about a career in medicine. Admitted students enjoy the flexibility that comes with early assurance to a top-ranked medical school, and pursue various majors, co-op opportunities, and study abroad programs.

The Connections program is a non-accelerated, eight-year baccalaureate /MD program. Students spend four years as an undergraduate student at the University of Cincinnati and four years as a medical student at the College of Medicine (the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering joint program is nine years because of the required coop learning program).

Connections students work closely with advisors in the College of Medicine, the undergraduate college’s Pre-Professional Advising Center (PPAC) and the University Honors Program to ensure they not only have a unique and diverse college experience, but that they also meet the requirements of the program and prepare for the challenges of medical school.
