Industry Relationships

Interactions with various industries occur in a variety of contexts at the College of Medicine, and while those interactions can be positive and important for promoting the educational, clinical and research missions of the college, all UC personnel must adhere to the highest ethical standards.

A policy on the College of Medicine’s interactions with industry has been adopted to help ensure that patient care, our research programs, the integrity of our education and training programs, and the reputation of the College of Medicine, are not compromised by conflicts of interest.

This policy, which is to be used to guide College of Medicine personnel in their interactions with industry, was developed in 2008 by the Industry Interactions Committee.

Today this same committee serves, in part, by providing support to the College of Medicine in interpretation of the policy. If you have any questions, please e-mail the committee at comiic@uc.edu.
